Aurum Solutions strengthens C-suite with three new leadership appointments

Aurum Solutions, a leading provider of financial automation software, has announced the appointment of three new members to their C-suite. David Resende, Paulo Andrade and Vasco Vaz Rodrigues will join Aurum's senior management team, strengthening leadership as the company accelerates towards the launch of new products.

David Resende

David brings 25 years of experience in financial software as a service. Before joining Aurum two years ago, David spent much of his career working his way up through Grupo Primavera, a developer of cloud-based ERP platforms later acquired by Cegid, Europe’s leading cloud management solutions provider for finance. At Cegid, David served as Cloud Operations Director, leading high performing teams responsible for the design and build of large scale, secure SaaS architectures. In this role, David worked to uphold best practices and align technology decisions with business outcomes within a business generating almost 1 billion in annual revenue.

More recently, as Aurum's Head of Cloud Architecture and Operations, David has delivered a cloud strategy covering architecture design and ISO 27001:2022 compliant security standards. Here, he has also built the company’s cloud operations teams and processes, laying a strong foundation for Aurum’s scale and resilience.

Now, as he moves into his new role as Chief Technology Officer, David will be responsible for bringing Aurum's engineering, technology innovation, and cloud teams under a single vision. This will accelerate product development, helping more customers to benefit from Aurum Solutions’ financial automation software.

Paulo Andrade

Paulo's finance career began at the Big Four firms, EY, PwC and Deloitte. Here, he started with two years in audit in Portugal, before transferring into M&A where he moved to the Madrid office to work on multiple finance and accounting functions across a wide range of sectors.  

Paulo then transitioned into the world of tech, moving in-house to Clikalia, a Proptech company. Here, he led the team as Finance Manager, owning group reporting and cash flow, managing a growing finance team, and supporting a landmark Series B funding round exceeding €460 million - one of the largest venture capital transactions in Spanish history. These roles have allowed Paulo to combine his strong analytical approach with operational insight into how high-performing finance teams are built through people, processes and resilient systems.  

During his 3 years at Aurum Solutions, Paulo has been responsible for leading implementation teams focused on financial automation and process standardisation. Having combined his expertise in scalable finance operations in SaaS with a deep understanding of the Aurum platform, Paulo is in the perfect position to support Aurum Solution's continued growth, particularly as they near the release of their new product.

Moving into his new role as Chief Financial Officer, Paulo aims to shift his mindset from tactical execution to long-term, strategic decision-making around tools, teams, and structures that enable sustainable growth.

Vasco Vaz Rodrigues

Vasco has 7 years of experience in FinTech SaaS. Outside of Aurum Solutions, Vasco’s background includes other high-growth financial technology businesses, including Switch, a payments orchestration provider he supported through rapid expansion and acquisition. Involvement in scaling SaaS businesses has given Vasco a strong understanding of the fast-paced world of FinTech. His experience now spans design, engineering, fraud, risk, and payments. With a broad view of the industry and a unique ability to translate customer needs into clear product positioning, Vasco has been able to create marketing campaigns that resonate.   

During his previous tenure at Aurum, Vasco played a key role in developing a scalable marketing strategy that aligned external perception with the company’s new direction. Aurum expanded its event presence across four continents, with lead generation increasing x10, revenue growing x20, and the company receiving the FinTech of the Year award.  

After taking time away to help build Trudenty, a fraud protection network focused on closing data visibility gaps in FinTech, he is returning to Aurum Solutions.

Now, as Chief Marketing Officer, Vasco will lead the marketing department and oversee his team's translation of complex reconciliation solutions into clear, compelling messaging for back-office finance teams. Using his deep sector knowledge, he will also drive industry facing content, working with finance leaders to build Aurum’s presence in the FinTech space through podcasts, webinars, and events.
